About

Two lines of business, one purpose

Giving time back to people who have none.

AUTOMATT LLC is a limited liability company incorporated in the State of New Mexico, United States. It operates two activities: publishing mobile applications, and helping small businesses automate their internal processes.

Why both

They answer the same observation. In a company of three to thirty people, a significant share of working time goes into actions that create nothing: copying an order into a spreadsheet, hunting for the attachment of a quote, chasing a client who has not paid, entering the same information into two different systems. These actions appear on no job description and nobody counts them. Together they often add up to several days a month.

Automation solves this for one company, with its own tools and habits. A mobile application solves a narrower version of it for many people at once. Each informs the other: what we learn on a client engagement shapes what we build into our apps.

How we work

We examine a process manually before proposing anything. An automated workflow laid over a loosely defined organisation only relocates the mess. Our first recommendation is therefore sometimes to clarify a procedure rather than buy another tool.

We favour simple solutions that survive over time and that the client can understand. A small business will never maintain an over-engineered system, and an automation nobody can modify becomes a dependency rather than a gain. We always leave written documentation and train the person who will operate it.

We also say when automation is the wrong answer: volume too low, a process that changes every month, data too sensitive to pass through a third-party service. That is more useful than a quote.

Who is behind the company

Mathieu Desmaison, founder

The company is run by Mathieu Desmaison.

His background did not start in technology. He spent more than ten years in medical transport, then five years in logistics, training and quality project management. Fifteen years inside organisations that run out of time long before they run out of software, and where a badly designed procedure costs hours every week to people who have nobody to absorb them.

That is where his approach comes from. He has seen from the inside what a broken process produces, and he can tell the difference between a task that should be automated and a task that should first be rebuilt. It is also why training is part of every project rather than sold alongside it: a tool nobody can take over is eventually abandoned.

He started the business in January 2025 under the name Automatt, in France, and incorporated AUTOMATT LLC in February 2026. He works with tradespeople, retailers, professional practices and property managers — organisations of three to thirty people, often run by someone who also handles the quotes, the books and customer service.

In 2025 he turned down a contract that would have multiplied his revenue tenfold: the project, large-scale dropshipping, had nothing to do with the businesses he set out to serve.

He works in French and in English.
